Frequently Asked Questions

A laundromat and a self-service laundry are essentially the same thing. They are both establishments where individuals can wash and dry their laundry using coin-operated or card- operated machines. The terms "laundromat" and "self-service laundry" are often used interchangeably to describe these facilities.

A self-service laundry is commonly referred to as a laundromat, washateria, or coin laundry. These terms all describe the same type of establishment where customers can use the provided washers and dryers to do their laundry themselves.

A self-service laundry business is a type of business that operates a facility equipped with commercial-grade washers and dryers. Customers bring their dirty laundry to the self-service laundry and pay a fee to use the machines. They can select the appropriate washer and dryer settings, add detergent or other laundry products, and operate the machines themselves. The business may provide additional services such as vending machines for detergent and snacks, seating areas, and folding tables.
